Authentic custom-distilled oud oils are dosed generously in different compositions of the Imperial Oud Collection, pairing fine oud oils with other phenomenal essences to create the most luxurious scents that befit royalty.

When Baba-Nyonya Peranakan culture meets oud! Oud De Nyonya features quality natural agarwood (oud) as well as a selection of specialty materials inspired by the Baba-Nyonya heritage, for instance materials that demonstrate scrumptious notes of pandan leaves, coconut milk and the specialty coconut sugar known as “gula melaka”. These are among the most ubiquitous notes found in most of the Nyonya “kuih” (derived from the Hokkien and Teochew word 粿 [kueh] for “snack” or “dessert”). We further spiced up the composition with a mixture of cassia, nutmeg and star anise – all commonly found in the Nyonya cuisine. To enrich the heart of the composition, we introduce a rare natural extract of orange jessamine flower which is characteristic of the heritage into the blend. Other than these, one of the elements that is representative of the Baba-Nyonya heritage that we have been accustomed to would be the old-fashioned Nyonya-style boudoir powder. Based on our memories, we recreated the nostalgic scent of vintage Nyonya-style powder and added it to the blend along with notes of sea salt, musk and ambergris. All of these materials are then paired with our proprietary melange of authentic custom-distilled oud oils from various regions, resulting in a rich, warm oud scent gloriously laced with the ever-mesmerizing Baba-Nyonya culture and heritage.
